Well ahead of other NC communities, the city
bus service is free, clean, reliable, and readily
accessible.
Chapel
Hill Transit Routes and Schedules
Nationwide bus service is provided by Trailways/Greyhound
Lines. While there is no full service bus station
in town, you can pick it up at the stoplit pedestrian
crossing on East Franklin Street heading east
or west.
NCDOT operates passenger rail service along the
I-85 corridor. You pick it up in Durham. It's
a great way to get to Charlotte.
Triangle
Transit Authority
Regional
bus service connects Chapel Hill,
Durham, (RTP) Research Triangle Park, RDU, Morrisville,
Cary and Raleigh with fixed airport route service.

Provided
by Chapel Hill Transit for people unable to drive.
Available to people living within the Chapel
Hill/Carrboro City limits. Provides door
to door service.
