"When
people come here from another area, they're not
just looking for a house. They're looking for
a contact they can trust, someone who can give
information and educated opinions on a variety
of topics."
I
came to Chapel Hill in 1967 to attend graduate
school. I have taught school, worked as a teacher
consultant for children with special needs, and
operated an antique shop. For the past 20 years,
I have been a Realtor - previously a top producer
with a large franchise and now as an owner/broker
with Franklin St. Realty. I am a graduate of the
Realtor's Institute, GRI, and have received the
Certified Residential Specialist designation.
Only 4% of all Realtor's have earned the right
to be called CRS.
I am married to a Professor of Education at UNC
and have two daughters. I feel that my varied
experience and my ties to both the university
and business communities give me an advantage
in helping people with their moves. As one client
said, "We had a million questions about the
schools, recreational activities, repairs, medical
services - right down to where to get a good haircut.
Kit seems to know everything about the area."
I am a wanna-be artist, love travel (especially
Italy), good books, good food, red wine, beautiful
shoes, all kids and most people.
I feel especially comfortable working with families.
So many people come here with concerns about the
schools and how their children will fit in. I
am glad to connect them with teachers and counselors
or to guide them to special activities. Showing
test results and quoting statistics isn't enough.
Basically, I enjoy what I do and I treat people
the way I want to be treated. It's just that simple.
If you are moving to Chapel Hill or the Triangle
area, give me a call. I think you'll be glad you
did.
